About Natural E

Listed below are links to some of our preferred products that we use in our installations. Please click in the area of interest to get direct links to manufacturers.

Photovoltaic Modules

Photovoltaic modules are the “solar panels” that create electricity. We install Sharp modules which are aesthetic and efficient, and come with a 25 year warranty. We will install your module of choice if you have a preference. Click here to see a list of manufacturers and their links.

Inverters & Ancillary Equip.

An inverter converts your module DC electricity into AC power so you may use it for your household/business needs, or sell it back to the utility company. We typically install Fronius or SMA inverters. Click here to see a list of manufacturers and their links.

Capacitors

Capacitors are used to correct power factor problems with your electric panel and/or individual inductive loads like air conditioners and refrigerator /freezers. This product is especially effective with commercial and industrial applications where multiple inductive loads are used 24/7. Click here for more information.

Generators

For your backup power needs we install Generac generators. Generators are great for emergency backup applications for grid-tied solar and indispensible for off-grid systems for maintaining your battery bank during the winter months. Click here for more information.

Solar Grade Batteries

We have a selection of lead/acid and maintenance free batteries that are great for off-grid setups, or emergency standby power for grid-tied systems. Click here for more information.

We typically install Sharp solar modules, but there are a multitude of choices when it comes to PV modules. If desired, we are willing to accommodate your choice of module.

Basically, you have two types of solar cell technology: 1) crystalline silicon modules and 2) amorphous silicon or thin film technology. Crystalline modules, which come as multicrystalline (solid coloration) or monocrystalline (white spaces between cells), are the most efficient and popular. The monocrystalline are a little more efficient than the multicrystalline , but monos are also more expensive.

Thin film is expected to be the wave of the future for solar electric simply because the manufacturing process is less expensive – about half that of crystalline. Presently, however, the efficiency is about half that of crystalline-based modules, which means you would need twice the surface area to collect the same amount of energy. There are many promising technologies emerging in thin film with plenty of venture capital backing it up. But so far, mass produced, high efficiency thin film is not here yet.

Inverters are the brains of your system. They turn DC into AC current and also control many other variables that make up the quality of electricity you deliver to your home or utility grid. Many inverters have options of communicating on the internet so you can check your power performance anywhere you access to the net. Many of these companies also produce PV controllers and monitors. Below is a quick list of Inverter suppliers.

We have an excellent product that 1) increases your power factor, 2) suppresses voltage spikes and surges and 3) filters harmonic disturbances from your electronic equipment. All this leads to longer life of your appliances/electronics as well as significant energy savings. The payback period for your investment is typically less than a year. This is an easy and quick way to cut your electric costs.

Standby power generators are becoming more popular in households and more so in businesses. We will size your generator according to your critical loads and connect it to your panel via an automatic transfer switch. We install Generac generators (www.generac.com) which is one of the best products in the business.

Here is a listing of solar grade battery manufacturers. These batteries are made to withstand the rigors of constant charge/discharge cycles that a solar electric system demands. Again, we are willing to accommodate your preference of battery.
